I’m Josh Mamaclay. I’m a recipe developer and chef instructor in Boston, MA. I instruct on Milk Street TV and at the Milk Street Online Cooking School. I get to taste each and every spice there is at Curio Spice Company. And I craft polyhedral dice for tabletop gaming at clickclackmathrocks.
My mission is to empower home cooks to explore and create memorable culinary experiences in their own kitchens.
I’ve been fascinated by flavor since my first dive into the back of the pantry at 10 years old. My passion for food brought me to Johnson & Wales University where I earned my bachelor's degree in culinary arts and food service management. Since then, I’ve worked in pizza joints, fine dining restaurants, a chocolate factory, and a test kitchen. I’ve developed recipes for meal kit delivery brands like Purple Carrot and TB12.
When I’m not busy thinking or talking about food, you can find me painstakingly styling and photographing food, singing with my husband while strumming my ukulele, or leading intrepid adventurers through a fantasy-filled game of Dungeons & Dragons.
